How to take out the pump filter on your Electrolux front loader

  1. 1Switch off and unplug the machine, and wait until the water inside is cold. Never remove the filter while the machine is running.
  2. 2Put a towel down and a shallow container under the drain pump door at the bottom front, then open the door.
  3. 3Press the two levers and pull the drainage duct forward to let the water out. Put the duct back and empty the container; repeat until no more water comes out.
  4. 4Push the duct back and turn the filter anticlockwise to remove it. Take out fluff and objects and check the pump impeller can turn; if it cannot, call the service centre.
  5. 5Clean the filter under the tap, put it back with the exposed section facing up and tighten it firmly so it does not leak, then close the door.
