The water filters

  • BWF100 Water FilterBWF100 · 10 modelsfrom $1.83

Breville BWF100 is a six-pack of resin water filters for older Breville espresso machines: Barista Express, Barista Pro, Infuser, Duo-Temp Pro, and earlier batches of the Oracle, Oracle Touch and Dual Boiler. The cartridge sits in the tank holder, and a date dial on the holder reminds you when to change it. Filters slow scale; the machine still needs descaling.

Change it every 2 months; 4 steps, no tools.

After the change: Set the date dial on the filter holder handle to two months ahead when you fit a new cartridge; there is no electronic reminder on these machines. Follow the Breville AU video for soaking and fitting.

    Fits 10 Breville models: BEP920, BES810, BES840, BES860, BES870, BES876, BES878, BES920, BES980, BES990.

  • ClaroSwiss Water FilterBES008 · 8 modelsfrom $11.74

The Breville ClaroSwiss BES008 is the current single cartridge for the Oracle range, Dual Boiler, Barista Touch, Barista Touch Impress and Bambino. Breville says it reduces chlorine, heavy metals and minerals and should be replaced every 90 days or after about 40 litres. Touchscreen models prompt you on screen; others rely on the date dial. Descaling is still part of routine care.

Change it every 3 months; 4 steps, no tools.

After the change: Touchscreen models (Oracle Touch, Barista Touch) show a change-filter alert; confirm the replacement in the settings menu to reset the 90-day counter. Non-screen models use the date dial on the filter holder. See the Breville AU Barista Touch video.

    Fits 8 Breville models: BES450, BES880, BES881, BES920, BES980, BES985, BES990, BES995.
